We are Grace Episcopal Church in San Antonio, Texas – a church that was born of a vision to live out the Good News of Jesus Christ in two simple ways: Love God and Love Others.
These pages are about our capital campaign titled Give2Serve because serving is what we are all about.
Our mission is Connecting people to Christ, self, and others.
Connecting to Christ
We begin and end with Jesus, the one who gives new and abundant life.
Connecting to self
we explore who we are
so we might become more of who God created us to be.
Connecting to others
we love God by loving others.
God and Neighbor
Grace Church San Antonio was born of a vision to live out the Good News of Jesus Christ who calls us to take seriously his words to “Love God and love others.”
The church was launched in 2008 by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas in order to reach out to residents of the northwest part of San Antonio who did not have a church home.
Initially, Bible study, fellowship groups, and worship were held in the home of the Rev. Jay George, the church planter. In the fall of 2009 the congregation began regular weekly worship using facilities on the campus of TMI-the Episcopal School of Texas. Sunday worship is now held in All Saints Chapel there.
The congregation has always emphasized service to others, living out its mission statement of “Connecting people to self, Christ, and others.” Whether or not you know and follow Jesus, we believe in doing some good in the world. Feed the hungry. Clothe the naked. Visit the lonely. This is how we love God. This is why we started Grace Church – to live out our faith. To care for all of God’s people.
Grace partners with outreach ministries, local schools, and community organizations. For example, one of those ministries is Taking it to the Streets that feeds hungry men, women, and children in San Antonio every Saturday night. Another example in its own neighborhood is the Grace partnership with a local elementary school to support students and faculty.
Our congregation is singles, families, young, old, children, parents, grandparents and everything in between. We have a large number of young families with children among us, and we welcome their noise and laughter.
Our core values are: Connect, Grow, Serve
Our worship style is a fusion of traditional liturgy and contemporary passion. We balance contemporary music, prayer, Scripture, a relevant biblical message and the sacrament of Holy Communion. And we wrap it all up in a friendly, welcoming community of regular folks who enjoy laughter. Dress is casual. Nursery, Children’s Ministry and Youth Ministry are provided.
Sunday worship is at 10:35 am
at All Saints Chapel @ TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas
20955 W Tejas Trail

Our priest is the Rev. Jay George. Reach him at email@example.com, phone 210.462.6901.
